This is just a blog entry for entry's sake.

I haven't blogged in over a month. And no, the fact that my wife pointed out that "blogging is for self-important people", is not the main reason I've been neglectful. She recanted the statement when I reminded her that occasionally I liked to log onto my eponymous website and type to myself.

The energy for this type of thing seems to come and go. The days of clock-watching and agonizing over when I'm gonna "make it big" have faded. I'm settling into the routine of a married man with a 40-hour-a-week job and dogs that need walking every day at 6(ish). Every now and then I remember who I wanted to be, so I think up a few affirmations in my head, repeat them a few times, and then snap back to reality and press the thumbs up button on my Tivo remote.

I wouldn't say I'm in a rut. But I AM in a routine. One that would involve several important steps to deviate from. First, I've got to meet some new people; People who have the same goals and interests as me, and who are actually living them out. Next, I need to wash my car more regularly. And most importantly, I need to stop eating like an American every day at lunch. Not sure how I picked up that habit. But I get winded when I think about having to bend down and tie a shoe.
